欧专局于今年6月底通过其官方网站通告《Euro-PCT申请指南》（《欧洲专利申请指南》第二部分）的HTML版本和PDF版本已更新至第十四版。该指南为有意通过PCT途径申请欧洲专利的申请人应对程序各阶段相关事宜提供了实用建议。
欧洲专利局（后文将简称为“欧专局”）《欧洲专利申请指南》（"Guide forapplicants"）旨在帮助申请人了解欧洲发明专利授权程序，并提供如何应对程序各阶段相关事宜的实用性建议。该指南一共分为两个部分。其中第一部分（"How to get a European patent, Guide for applicants"） 针对的是希望提起欧洲专利直接申请的申请人，而第二部分（"Euro-PCT Guide: PCT procedure at the EPO"，也被称为《Euro-PCT申请指南》） 针对的则是有意通过PCT途径申请欧洲发明专利的申请人。
欧专局于2021年6月底通过其官方网站发布通告，《欧洲专利申请指南》第二部分（即《Euro-PCT申请指南》）已经更新。我们在此将欧专局对更新后的《欧洲专利申请指南》第二部分的《Euro-PCT申请指南》简要介绍如下：

同时，官方也提醒申请人注意此次发布的第十四版的《Euro-PCT申请指南》更新截止到2021年1月1日，因此申请人在参考此指南时，应特别注意核实相关的变更程序是否自2021年1月1日起发生效力。
《Euro-PCT申请指南》的目的在于提供当欧专局作为以下单位时应注意的问题：

·国际检索单位（ISA）
·补充国际检索单位（SISA）
·国际初步审查单位（IPEA）
·指定局或选定局（a designated office or elected office）
